Images of the Corten project showing the panels being painted and fitted. The brief was to create a finish suitable for interior use that was a burnished metal effect with hints of Corten ‘rust’. Being painted means that the finish is stable and sealed, unlike genuine Corten. A layered paint effect was applied to each panel to achieve a multi-toned, multi-faceted finish. The hand painted technique ensures each panel exhibits its own unique signature. When positioned the individual patterning of each panel works together with the others to form an interesting whole that exudes bespoke craftsmanship and quality. Because it’s a paint effect, if the panels are damaged they can be repaired so any scratches or dents are easily dealt with.
